In the last few posts I’ve told the stories of the five Holdsworth siblings who moved to Stepney from Essex at the turn of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Before moving on to the next stage in the family’s history, it might be useful to summarise the story so far.
My 5 x great grandparents Joseph and Elizabeth Holdsworth had the following children:

John Holdsworth was born in 1765. He married Mary Webb in 1797 and they had the following children who survived:
Henry Holdsworth was born in 1766, but nothing else is known about him.
Sarah Holdsworth was born in 1767. She married Edward Porter in 1786 and they had a son Edward Parker Porter who was born in 1794 and died in 1802. Edward Porter died in 1799 and Sarah married William Parker in 1803.
Joseph Holdsworth was born in 1770. He married Margaret Miller in 1792 and they had the following children who survived:
Joseph Edward (1802)
William Holdsworth was born in 1771. He married Lydia Evans in 1792 and they had the following children who survived:
Godfrey Holdsworth was born in 1773. He married Diana Cam in 1793 and they had the following children who survived:
John Henry (1796)
Edward James (1806)
Charles William Millrow (1811)
